Luke
Luke was born in Australia and moved to Switzerland with his family in 1996. He has spent the past 16 years working worldwide on projects in the power industry for a large international company.
As a child, Luke loved everything about the ocean, particularly fishing, free diving and spearfishing. He always felt at home on the sea and longed to return to his native Australia.
Vera
Vera was born in 1987 in Switzerland. She loves the mountains and spends her free time snowboarding in winter and hiking in summer. She has always enjoyed traveling and seeing different places, cultures and perspectives.
Sailing for her is to live the traveller's dream and a perfect way to combine both her's and Luke's passions.
Vera showed Luke a biography about life cruising the world on a yacht….and dream was born!
Together, Luke and Vera decided to seize the day ;) and pursue that dream.
Their hard work and determination paid off, when, in 2016, they bought Carpe Diem.
They plan to cruise from Europe to Australia. In August 2016 their journey began in Greece…..
